The Anapurna Mw is a professional hybrid UV-curable printer designed to deliver top quality output on a wide range of rigid and roll-to-roll media for the ‘print for pay’ market. It includes white ink, which is ideal for printing onto dark, coloured or black substrates. In addition, the white ink capability enables printing onto transparent substrates for backlit applications or for printing white as a spot colour.

White ink enables the Anapurna Mw delivers to deliver high quality prints for an even greater range of applications such as displays, Posters, POP, In-house decoration, CD covers, beer coasters and party gadgets. Print Quality by Design

The Anapurna  12 picolitre heads guarantee printing, fine text reproduction up to 6 pt, sharp solids, good tonal rendering and all with low ink consumption. The printer is designed to be a robust and industrially engineered system that is capable of extreme and sustained work loads.


The 1024 nozzles can produce very high quality 720 x 1440 dpi outputs directly onto uncoated rigid media, such as rigid plastics, corrugated boards, stage graphics, exhibition panels and advertising panels. The roll media capability enables direct printing to film, vinyl and paper, canvas and banners of up to 4.5 cm thick.

 

Focus on Ink
Agfa’s dedicated Anapurna UV-curable inks deliver high colour vibrancy from a large colour gamut. The inks provide good adhesion, long term image protection and high outdoor durability. The Anapurna ink system is easy to maintain with ink levels continuously monitored by the automatic ink refill system.  Prints are ready to handle immediately after leaving the engine because of the Anapurna ink’s instant curing.

Anapurna Mw has a fully separated white ink management system on board. The Mw has a separate circulation system, a separate under-pressure-regulation ánd a separate cleaning circuit.
Moreover the white ink tank is equipped with a stirring mechanism to keep the ink properly mixed at all times.

Automatic vacuum system

Anapurna Mw's automatic vacuum system delivers an equal vacuum throughout the whole printing process, whether printing roll or rigid materials.
This ensures fl awless media transport, giving accurate print results at all times! The ring-blower driving the vacuum system is built-in in the printer, reducing the noise to a minimum for even more user convenience.

Shuttle safety sensors

Anapurna Mw incorporates a set of shuttle safety sensors to prevent printheads from touching the substrate. This will avoid any possible damage to print-heads.

Media registration bar

Media loading is very straightforward with automated features such as the media registration bar and head height adjustment.

Optional ionizer bar avoids electro static loads

An optional ionizer bar sees to it that there are no electro-static loads on the substrate, ensuring optimum ink droplet control and therefore delivering the highest print quality.

Automatic refill system

Ink levels are automatically detected in the main ink tanks. Both visible and audible warnings notify the user of low levels. Both warnings notify the operator of low ink level ensuring the production is maintained.

Roll and rigid printing

Switching between rigid and roll media is instant. Therefore Anapurna Mw delivers exceptional print quality on a wide variety of indoor and outdoor media on uncoated rigid media, such as corrugated boards, rigid plastics, exhibition panels, stage graphics and advertising panels, as well as roll media such as film, vinyl and paper, canvas and banners up to 4,5 cm thick.

Customer changeable lamps

The UV lamps are also easy to change that no service intervention is needed at all. and this helps to keep the total costs to a minimum.

Automatic print head height

Print head height is automatically set to the thickness of the substrate up to 5 cm thick. User definable head gap is possible from 1 to 6 mm.

Simple Maintenance

The user can perform many of the maintenance functions themselves guaranteeing a maximum uptime of the Anapurna M system.
