The Mimaki UJV-160 enables instant drying, which massively increases productivity potential. Media is ready for finishing immediately after printing and this makes the job turnaround time from printing to processing much faster than many other printing methods.

The UJV-160 uses Mimaki’s new flexible UV LED curable ink set, which employs a formula to enable expansion by up to 200%. This results in no cracking during the printing process, even when the surface is bent or curved. The technology makes the UJV-160 ideal for printing onto thin, flexible PVC substrates used for vehicle wrapping, shutters and other similar applications.

Cool UV LED curing eliminates media deformation. Vulnerability to heat can be a problem for printing onto PVC but the UJV-160 is ideal for this substrate and also many other heat sensitive materials normally used in UV printing. This is because the printer does not emit infra-red rays, which is what causes deformation. It only emits relevant UV-rays ensuring problem free printing onto PVC and other heat sensitive materials.
